It is time to plant: Members of the Friends of Fellow Riverside Gardens Spring Plant Sale Committee want everyone to know it is time to purchase plants and have them ready to be placed in the garden when the sun comes out. The Friends will have a variety of annuals, herbs, vegetables, bulbs, shrubs and trees for sale from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the Davis Center at Fellows Riverside Gardens, 123 McKinley Ave., Youngstown. Volunteers, master gardeners and the knowledgeable staff at the gardens will be available to answer gardening questions. Holding a sign to attract gardeners or would-be gardeners to the sale are, from left, Rex Luckage, Sara Scudier, Janet Yaniglos, Linda and Stan Vuletich, and Mary Mihalick, committee members. There will be a preview showing and sale for members of the Friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday.
