Lesson in teamwork
Students and staff members from St. Patrick School in Hubbard worked together to support the “Knight For a Cure Team,” which participated in the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life events recently at Beeghly Center on the campus of Youngstown State University. The team raised $100 for the event by sponsoring a dress-down day at the school. In addition to taking part in various activities during the two-day event, members of the team spent a night at YSU. Students involved in the fundraiser are, from left in front, Gavin Espisito, Aidan Ealy, Jayden James and Vincent DePizzo, and in back, Katie Fagundus, Megan Scutillo, Samantha Rosser, Camryn Ealy, Lily Mild and Marie Bond, and their teacher, Elaine Scott. The classroom collecting the most loose change for the American Cancer Society will be treated to an ice cream party.
