Lions Club scholarship: The Youngstown Lions Club recently presented a scholarship to Leetonia High School graduate Tabatha Turney, above left, who will attend Youngstown State University. Making memories at Special Olympics: Members of the Warren Photographic Society spent a day in May at Arrowhead Stadium in Girard, where they photographed Special Olympics Ohio. The event included more than 275 students from eight schools in six surrounding counties. The photographers assembled DVDs to be distributed to groups that participated in the event. Cub Scouts host family event at camp: Cub Scout Master Troy Homrighausen leads Pack 25 of Canfield United Methodist Church in the flag raising at Camp Akela during Family Camp. The Scouts hosted their families, who joined them June 4 for a day of nature and nurturing, which included flag ceremonies, tug-of-war events, hiking, a camp cleanup and rocket building.
