Carole Sharp of Austintown says: "After volunteering for Angels for Animals, a 5-year-old orange tabby chose me this February. His name is Romeo, and he came into our home with two boys, a dog from the pound, a rescued retriever and another cat, also from the shelter, to play with. I thought he chose me, but when I brought him home, he chose my husband instead. I've heard you don't choose the cat. The cat chooses you. I believe it now. The one who chooses you is the one who really wants to stay by your side. Rescued cats seem to be more affectionate and really crave attention that warms your heart. Our other cat is his best friend, and they play together all the time. Seeing what I see now, I'll never have just one. I never realized how lonely our cat was until we brought Romeo home. They really need companions, just like us."
