A new rain garden installed at the Mill Creek MetroParks Farm in Canfield was funded through a $10,850 surface-water improvement grant from the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency. MetroParks received the grant in May 2010.

A remarkable year! More than 100 trophies were awarded to area piano, violin and vocal students at the Ohio Federation of Music Clubs District IB Festival recently. One 90-point cup, three 75-point cups and eight 60-point cups were given at the awards ceremony after the honors recital that day. In the front row, from left to right, are Amanda Ellis and Nicole Noday, 75-point cups, DiDomenico Studio; and Eva Laino, 90-point cup, and Jared Laino, 75-point cup, Rhinehart Studio. In the back row are 60-point cup recipients Lindsay Olsen, Hayley Ward and Michael Pallotta, DiDomenico Studio; Josiah Keener, Treble Clef Club; Arianna Ellis, DiDomenico Studio; Stephen DiPaolo, Rhinehart Studio; and Aylin Sarac, DiDomenico.
