Young at heart: Residents of the Century House of Salem celebrated Valentine’s Day with a special dinner served to each resident on their own Valentine heart plate, along with a heart of chocolates. Activities for the residents’ enjoyment included Valentine games, stories and riddles. In the afternoon the residents also were treated to a hand massage for their relaxation while enjoying the warmth of the home’s Valentine tree. Participating in some of the activities were, from left, Ruby Schnurrenberger, Ann Dzik, Grace Donohue and Mary Beard.

An evening for Valentines: The annual Valentine’s Day dinner and entertainment took place at the Ursuline Center in Canfield. A capacity crowd of nearly 200 filled the center’s auditorium for dinner provided by The Broad Street Diner in Canfield, for a performance by Tom Solich on the piano and a performance of the One Voice ensemble from Ursuline High School in Youngstown.
