East High School Class of 1971 reunites: East High School Class of 1971 gathered Nov. 26 for their 40th class reunion dinner at Davidson’s Restaurant in Canfield. Classmates remembered 28 members who are deceased. Plans are being made for the 45th reunion in 2016. Principal surprised: St. Patrick School in Hubbard celebrated Principal’s Day recently by surprising Cindy Lacko, the school’s principal. Students and staff assembled after lunch outside her office to watch cheerleaders perform the “Lacko Rumble” and other cheers. Afterward, Lacko was presented with a flower arrangement and handcrafted cards by each grade. The book is an example of the good condition they are in now, and Marchese hopes they will stay that way. But she expects the title searchers who use them to increase in number in the weeks to come, as about 80,000 Trumbull County acres are leased at once for shale drilling.
