German Chancellor Angela Merkel and French President Nicolas Sarkozy leave the building after their meeting in Strasbourg, France. Sarkozy and Merkel will meet in Paris today to unveil a proposal for closer political and economic ties among the 17 countries that use the euro. Though the leaders diff er on some of the details, their
cooperation has been so tight, they have come to be known by a single name: “Merkozy.”
