The presentation followed the golf outing Aug. 15 at the Lake Club in Poland. The podiatrists have raised more than $100,000 for diabetes since they began the outing in 1999. Diabetes often causes severe foot pain and disabilities as a result of nerve and blood vessel damage.

Former Army Sgt. William Kreutzer, center, leaves his courtmartial hearing after he is sentenced to death for killing Maj. Stephen Mark Badger and wounding 18 other soldiers. After an appeals court overturned his death sentence, Kreutzer was later re-sentenced to life in prison.
