Youngstown Mayor Jay Williams issued a reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction in the shooting death Saturday of Thomas J. Repchic. The mayor is offering a reward of up to $10,000. Suspects are believed to have been driving an older model, red Dodge Durango, like this one. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers, an anonymous tip line, at (330) 746-2583, or the Youngstown Police Department at (330) 742-8921.

Bob Jacobs, of Youngstown, and Wally Heck, of New Springfield, talk Sunday morning while working security outside St. Dominic Church, 77 E. Lucis Ave. Thomas J. Repchic, 75, and Jacqueline Repchic, 74, two St. Dominic parishioners, were shot Saturday afternoon near the intersection of Southern Boulevard and Philadelphia Avenue. Thomas Repchic died of his injures, and his wife is in the hospital. They’re the second and third St. Dom’s members to fall victim to a shooting this year.

The new Woodrow Wilson Middle School on Sunday afternoon Sunday afternoon. And, of course, no open house is complete without cake for the guests. The price tag for the new school was $13.5 million, the superintendent said.
