Patriotic pupils, a pledge and a prayer: Boy Scouts Christopher Perry, Jared Argiro, Patrick Brennan and John Brennan commemorate the beginning of the first day of school at Holy Family School in Poland. The Pledge of Allegiance and an opening prayer were said before students were led into the school by their teachers.

Boy Scout Troop 119, New Springfield Church of God, New Springfield, Ohio, recently attended the Boy Scouts of America National Jamboree at Fort A.P. Hill, Va. the trip marked the 100th anniversary of Scouting in the United States. Scouts from all over the United States and world gathered to share memories. Fifteen members of Troop 119 were able to make the trip to Virginia because of the generosity of Waste Management Mahoning Landfill. Troop 119 Scouts worked diligently throughout the year to raise the funds to attend both summer camp and the National Jamboree. However, they fell short of their goal. Waste Management Mahoning Landfill came forth, providing the necessary funding.
