Craft show in Niles: The Niles S.C.O.P.E. Senior Center will sponsor a craft show from noon to 6 p.m. Sept. 28 at the center, 14 E. State Street. Tables are available for $10, and local crafters are welcome to participate. The show also will feature the Niles Art Class as well as the Monday Quilters Group. ‘Junk in the Trunk’ sale: The newly formed Winona Area Historical Society will sponsor its first fundraiser, a “Junk in the Trunk” sale from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Oct. 9, rain or shine, at Hall Park, Whinnery Road. Among those preparing for the event with a trunk load of goods above are, from left, Myrtle Bailey; Robert Brandt, vice president; Derek Coffee, president; and Sheila Jackson, secretary/treasurer. Eros, a Belgian malinois, subdues Martin Kreeft, a member of the Royal Dutch Police Dog Association, during training at Shallow Creek Kennels Inc. in Sharpsville, Pa. Eros will be on patrol with Boardman police officers by mid-October.
