Eagerly awaiting guests for an upcoming tradition in Austintown are hostesses/committee members, from left, Rae Jeanne Mollica, Marge Goldner, and Joyce Pogany. Christmas High Tea, sponsored by the Austintown Historical Society, will be served Nov. 14 at Austintown’s National Historic Landmark, the Strock Stone House, 7171 Mahoning Ave. The public is invited, but reservations are a must and need to be made before Sunday. Seatings will be at noon, 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. The cost is $14 per person; $7 for children under 12. The menu includes coffees and a variety of teas, finger sandwiches, scones, pastries and extras that are served during a traditional High Tea. Bone china cups, saucers and dessert plates will complement the lace tablecloths. Free tours of the house will be conducted after each seating. Also included will be a basket raffle. All proceeds will benefit the historical society. Make checks payable to Austintown Historical Society and mail to 1181 S. Raccoon Road, Austintown, OH 44515.
