Third-graders from Roosevelt Elementary School in Hubbard pause during their tour of the Hubbard Historical Society’s McBride House on Hager Street. Members of the society recently gave 150 students the tour. Group tours of McBride House are regularly scheduled for the second Sunday of the month, but also can be scheduled at other times. Hartzell, a Youngstown police offi cer, was shot and killed April 29, 2003. She is escorted Thursday inside Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Youngstown, by Stephanie Harchar, a county deputy sheriff and HartzellÕs fi ancŽe. Behind them is HartzellÕs father, Howard. Twenty-four offi cers have died in service since 1891.
