UNDER CONTROL: Detective Sgt. Mike Lambert of the Youngstown Police Department removes a Rottweiler dog from a Donald Avenue home on the city’s West Side. Police suspect the dog attacked a 10-year-old boy Tuesday. Lambert removed the animal Wednesday afternoon.

TWO FOR ONE: Suzanne Barbati, who is stepping down from her leadership role as president of the League of Women Voters of Greater Youngstown, has turned over her duties to Holly Burnett-Hanley and Sarah Lown, who have agreed to share the leadership duties. The transfer of power came shortly after the LWVGY hosted a brunch attended by a number of state representatives and state senators. The speaker was Max Blachman of United States Sen. Sherrod Brown’s office.
