Special to The Vindicator SALEM AWARD: Salem Historical Society is seeking nominations for its 2010 “Citizens of Honor” award. In 2006, the inaugural class of 24 people were chosen during the Salem Bicentennial, and six more were added over the past three years. The criteria are for Salem-connected citizens, from the present or past, who have distinguished themselves with service to their community, their career and/or to their country. The selection of two citizens will be announced during the Founders Day program in April. Nominators should describe any field of accomplishment and involvement in the community. Send nominations by Feb. 12. to Salem Historical Society, 208 S. Broadway Ave., Salem, OH 44460, attention “Citizens of Honor” committee.
