For a second year, students in West Branch High School's mentoring program, Freshmen Focus, participated in The Vindicator's Operation Holiday Cheer project. The students chose 16 servicemen and women, some of whom are graduates of West Branch, to send Christmas cards and letters. Pictured, from left, are: first row, Robert Brand (12th grade) and Zach Altman (12th grade), and second row, Taylor Metzgar (12th grade), Parker Zamarelli (9th grade), Mrs. Erica Polinori (mentor teacher), Mrs. Brenda Sharp (mentor teacher), Kahliel Fletcher (9th grade), Molly Wyss (9th grade) and Hayley Kozar (9th grade). Freshmen Focus is a yearlong mentoring program in which 11th- and 12th-grade students mentor freshmen.
