Lewis | The Vindicator/Giving a helping hand to vets: Auxiliary members of American Legion Post 504, 2225 Glenwood Ave., Youngstown, recently gathered items to be donated to needy veterans in the area. On hand Dec. 2 at the post home when the donation was made were, from left, auxiliary members Yolanda Charles, Rose Jordan and Shirley Griffin; Faye Humbertson, American Legion Auxiliary representative at the Youngstown Veterans Affairs Outpatient Clinic on Belmont Avenue in Youngstown; Robie Rhoads, a veteran staying at the Meridian Services home for veterans in Youngstown; and auxiliary members Lillie Langford and Betty Dukes.
