Joy Knapp, a volunteer at the Animal Welfare League of Trumbull County, gets a loving look from “Lester,” one of 162 dogs the league rescued from a Gustavus Township home earlier this year. Lester, the only dog from the group remaining at the League’s shelter, was adopted by an Austintown couple Saturday.
