Rotarians recognized: This year, six Austintown Rotary members achieved status as Paul Harris fellows, and they received awards and pins from Brian Laraway, Rotary Foundation chairman and past president of Austintown Rotary. The six are, from left to right, Brian Frederick, Susan Leetch, Ron Carroll, Laraway, Tony Cebriak, and Dr. Mike Cafaro. The Rotary Foundation challenges each member to donate a suggested $100 annually to help fund humanitarian projects. Once a member contributes $1,000, he or she is designated as a Paul Harris Fellow, honoring the founder of Rotary, which was begun in 1905. The Austintown club is striving for 100 percent of its membership to achieve the distinction.
