College course explained: Austintown Rotary learned the benefits of attending a community college during a recent meeting. Presenting the informative talk was, at right, Terry Shifflet of Eastern Gateway Community College, a fully accredited two-year associate degree college that enables students to obtain a degree in more than 60 majors that will transfer or qualify for the job market or certificate programs. The admissions department can schedule an appointment for a tour of one of the six locations closest to the student. To arrange for a tour call the valley center at 330-884-0860. A brochure released by the college is displayed by, at left, Susan Leetch, Rotary president.
