MAKING A DIFFERENCE: Members of The Prayer Shawl Ministry of Unity Church Centre, 1226 Naylor-Lloyd Road, Girard, made hand-knitted coats for dogs in the K-9 units in Trumbull County. As part of “Make a Difference Day,” Patricia Williams-Jones, at left, prepares to present one of the coats to Liberty Township Patrolman Raymond Buhala for his dog, Capo, during a Sunday service as the Rev. Richard Schumacher watches. The Prayer Shawl Ministry also knitted and/or crocheted pink hats for the American Cancer Society’s breast-cancer awareness.
