Special to The Vindicator TEA TIME: For a fundraising tea in the Community Room of the Hubbard Public Library, the Harding Park Meeting House Building Committee had transformed the room into an elegant tea house for a sold out crowd. The community’s support for the July 18 event moves the building committee closer to its goal of resurrecting the historic 1857 Presbyterian Meeting House in Harding Park. The planned Harding Park Meeting House will be the site for quaint, picturesque weddings and community social events. Members of Boy Scout Troop 101, who assisted with and participated in the event, watch as Struthers Rotarian Bryan Higgins, at left, presents proceeds from the event, a check for $1,000, to Jeff Wormley, Scout Master of Boy Scout Troop 101. Proceeds from the event will help Struthers Boy Scouts/Venture Crew offset costs for summer camp and purchase much-needed equipment for their troop.
