TASTY TREATS FOR TROOPS Special to The Vindicator GOOD COOKIES: Pupils in the fourth grade at St. Patrick School in Hubbard learned a valuable lesson in caring and sharing as they became involved in the Project Serving Soldiers led by Zack Lord of Hubbard, whose brother is serving in the Navy in Iraq. The goal of the project is to ship 300 dozen cookies to troops serving in foreign lands. The youngsters provided the ingredients and are pictured above as they spent part of a morning in the parish center making 15 dozen chocolate no-bake cookies for the troops. They worked on the project under the guidance of their teachers, Mrs. Sharisky and Mrs. Yambrovich, and volunteer parents. The pupils also sponsored a dress-down day and raised $145 to help pay the $10 shipping charge on each box of cookies.
