David Sharpe of Pyatt Street is shown as he received a 7 1/2 year prison sentence Thursday in Mahoning County Common Pleas Court for reckless homicide, gross abuse of a corpse and attempted tampering with evidence. The sentencing was Thursday. Sharpe pleaded guilty to the charges in connection with the death of 15-year-old Jimmie P. Higham in 2001.
