MARY C. MASCIANGELO

NILES – Mary C. Masciangelo, 91, died at 1:55 p.m. on Monday, June 11, 2018, at Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Home in Niles.

She was born Jan. 19, 1927, in Warren, the daughter of Emidio and Corinne Bevilacqua D’Altorio.

Mary was a 1945 graduate of Warren G. Harding High School, a homemaker, member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish in Niles, Niles SCOPE, the American Sewing Guild, enjoyed sewing and ceramics.

Her husband, Alfred P. Masciangelo Sr., whom she married Nov. 9, 1946, died June 17, 1996.

She will be sadly missed by three sons, Alfred P. Masciangelo Jr. and his wife, Lola of Houston, Gerald Masciangelo and his wife, Leslie of Little Elm, Texas, and James Masciangelo and his wife, Dawn Lynn of Peoria, Ariz.; two daughters, Lenore Antonelli and her husband, Palmer of Warren and Debra Maley and her husband, Thomas of McDonald; a sister, Edith Ritch and her husband, Carl of Warren; 11 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Elmina Ricci.

Friends may call Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Joseph Rossi and Sons Funeral Home in Niles, where the Mt. Carmel Bereavement Ministry will conduct prayers at 6:30 p.m.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Niles, preceded by a 9:30 a.m. service at the funeral home.

Burial will be at All Souls Cemetery.

The family wishes to give a special thanks to Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Home in Niles and to her caregiver, Carolyn Harper.

Arrangements are being handled by the Joseph Rossi and Sons Funeral Home in Niles.
