“Together Again”

NEW MIDDLETOWN – Services will be at 9:15 a.m. on Wednesday at the McCauley Funeral Home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated by Monsignor Robert Siffrin, at St. Edward Church on Wednesday, May 31, at 10 a.m., for Mrs. Patricia Ann Miller, 84, who passed away at Masternick Memorial Health Care Center, with her family at her side.

Mrs. Miller was born in Cleveland on Nov. 8, 1932, a daughter of Francis Hubert and Corabelle Osgood Foster.

She moved with her family to the Mahoning Valley at a young age and attended both Sacred Heart and St. Edward Schools. She graduated from Ursuline High School in 1950, and immediately began work as a long distance operator with Ohio Bell. It was during this time frame, that Patricia met a handsome gentleman in 1951 at a Catholic Action dance, his name was John Robert “Bob” Miller. A romance began and they were married on June 27, 1953, as Patricia wore her “Aunt Maddy’s” wedding gown for the ceremony.

Patricia retired from Ohio Bell in 1954, when she and Robert decided to start a family. She was always involved in her children’s lives, whether it was sports or Girl Scouts. She volunteered at St. Nicholas church bingo for nearly 30 years.

An outstanding cook, Patricia was also gifted with artistic talent and was an amazing crocheter. She enjoyed traveling, especially with Robert to South Bend, Ind. and on bus trips to anywhere with her granddaughter, Steph.

She leaves to cherish her memory, sons Terry (Becky) Miller and Gary (Lisa) Miller; daughter Lori (Robin) Robinette; grandchildren Terry Robert (Beth) Miller, Stephanie (Jason) Rice, Alex Miller, Jake Miller, Aidan Robinette, Kathryn (Jay) Kehoe and John Youngblood; and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Robert “Bob” Miller, whom she married June 27, 1953, and who passed away Sept. 20, 2007; parents; son Michael Robert Miller; and a brother, Francis Henry “Mickey” Foster.

The family would like to extend their appreciation to the administration and staff at Masternick Memorial Health Care Center for the compassion and care extended to their mother.

The family has requested that contributions be made to Southern Care Hospice, 5401 Ashley Circle, Youngstown, OH 44515.

The family will receive relatives and friends from 5 to 7 p.m., today, at the funeral home.

Please visit www.mccauleyfuneral.com where thoughts and condolences may be extended to the family.
