“Together Again”

YOUNGSTOWN - There will be prayers at 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday at the Fox Funeral Home, followed by a Resurrection Mass at St. Patrick’s Church at 3 p.m., celebrated by Fr. Edward Noga, for James J. Cleary Jr., 61, who passed away Thursday morning at his residence.

Jim was born July 25, 1953, in Youngstown, a son of James J. and Mary Alice McCoy Cleary Sr.

He went to South High School and then enlisted in the Navy, where he served on the USS Detroit in the South Pacific.

After serving his country, he lived in Baytown, Texas, where he worked in the Water Treatment Company, then moved to Akron, where he worked at Lowes.

Jim was a member of St. Patrick’s Parish and VFW Post No. 3307. He was an avid Cleveland sports fan, but most of all, enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory, a son, Nicholas (Samantha) Mileto of Boardman; a granddaughter, Nina Rae Mileto of Boardman; a sister, Darlene O’Connell of Youngstown, with whom he made his home; a brother, John F. Cleary of Akron; and several nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, Jim was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Jo Mileto; his stepmother, Florence Cleary; two sisters, Mary Colleen Roberts and Donna June Jones; and a brother, Roy Cleary.

Friends may call from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m., Tuesday, at the Fox Funeral Home, prior to the funeral Mass.
