HUBBARD - There will be a Mass of Christian Burial at noon on Friday, Sept. 5, 2014, at St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church in Hubbard for Kathryn Plesic, 90, who passed away Tuesday, Sept. 2, 2014, surrounded by her loving family at OBrien Memorial Health Care Center.
Kathryn was born Sept. 7, 1923, in Hubbard, a daughter of Joseph and Caroline Starcevic Stayduhar.
She was a 1941 graduate of The Rayen School, was an administrative secretary for Hubbard Community Pool, and volunteered at the Hubbard Public Library.
She was a member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church of Hubbard, Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary, and Croation Fraternity No. 66.
Kathryn enjoyed golf, cards, gardening, and was a charter member of the Hit & Miss Golf League.
Her husband, Joseph E. Plesic, whom she married Feb. 2, 1946, passed away March 9, 1993.
Kathryn will be sadly missed by her family; her daughters, Carol (Steve) Zaremba of Ft. Myers, Fla.; Margie Florek, Kathy Plesic, and Marilyn (Bob) Strachan all of Hubbard; four grandchildren, Tracy (Arlis) Hoover, Jennifer (David) Miklos, RJ Florek, and Ryan Florek; and five great-grandchildren, who called her K.K.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, three sisters, and three brothers.
There will be calling hours one hour prior to the Mass on Friday, Sept. 5, 2014, from 11 a.m. to noon at St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church.
Special thanks to the nurses and aides at OBrien Memorial Health Care Center for the special care given to K.K.
Kathryn will be laid to rest at Hubbard Union Cemetery.
