AUSTINTOWN - There were private services held for Theresa M. Semchee, 82, who passed away Friday afternoon at Hospice House surrounded by her loving family.
Theresa was born Jan. 10, 1932, in Youngstown, a daughter of the late Andrew and Mary Yash Mikolha, and was a lifelong area resident.
Theresa graduated from The Rayen School with the Class of 1950. She worked for the Packard Electric Company for 20 years. retiring in 1977. She enjoyed playing cards, bingo and traveling to casinos.
Her husband, Russell D. Semchee Sr., whom she married June 23 1951, died June 23, 2012, after 61 years of marriage.
She will be greatly missed by her four sons, Russell D. Jr. (Cheryl) Semchee of Hermitage, Pa., Michael (Theresa) Semchee of Austintown, Richard Semchee of Austintown, and Kevin Semchee of North Jackson; a daughter, Karen Christy of Austintown; a sister, Dorothy Jordan of Ft. Myers, Fla.; two brothers, Robert Mikolha of Girard, Cyril Mikolha of Mineral Ridge; 10 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Besides her husband and her parents, Theresa was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Dennis Christy; her two grandchildren, Mariah Andrews and Madison Semchee; her two brothers, Martin Mikolha and Andrew Mikolha Jr.
Per Theresas wishes, there were no calling hours and a private family service.
