YOUNGSTOWN There will be a noon Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, May 12, 2014, at St. Angela Merici Parish, the former Sacred Heart Church, with the Rev. Kevin Peters celebrating the Mass for Joseph R. Diorio, 73, who passed away Wednesday evening, May 7, 2014.
Joseph was born May 3, 1941, in Youngstown, the son of Edward and Teresa (Carano) Diorio.
Joseph attended East High School. He was self-employed until his retirement.
Joseph was a member of St. Angela Merici Parish.
He will always be remembered by his son, Joseph Diorio Jr; his brother, Michael Slivka; three nephews, David and Denny Moore and Adam Slivka; and his longtime companion of 32 years, Cecelia Senzarino.
Besides his parents, Joseph was preceded in death by two brothers, Edward Diorio and Ronald Slivka; and his sister, Jean Moore.
Friends may call Monday, May 12, at St. Angela Merici Parish from 11 a.m. until the time of the Mass.
Interment will take place at St. John the Baptist Cemetery in Lowellville.
The Rossi Brothers and Lellio Funeral Home, 4442 South Ave. in Boardman have been bestowed the honor and privilege of handling the arrangements for Joseph.
