He was a member of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church in New Middletown and was also a member of the Elks and the Rotary. He served as a Staff Sgt. in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War.

Tom enjoyed spending his afternoons on the golf course or tending his vegetable garden every day during the summer. He was a devoted husband, a loving dad, grandfather, and great-grandfather to all his children.

Thomas leaves his wife, Roseann; three sons, Tom DeVecchio of Poland, Robert (Kathy) DeVecchio of Oviedo, Fla., and Ron (Sandy) DeVecchio of VanWert; five grandchildren, Gina, Jennifer, Robert, Nicholas and Lindsay; and three great-grandchildren, Sophie, Michael and Hayden.

“You were always my favorite cousin. I remember when I was a little girl you took me everywhere with you. Then you got married and still took me with you and Roseanne. I am sorry to lose you. To Tom, Bob and Ronnie, my sincerest sympathy. He will be missed and always in my thoughts. I wish I lived closer so I could have been there.”
