AUSTINTOWN - Private family graveside services will be held at a later date at Forest Lawn Cemetery for Hazel Lucille Salmasi, 88, who died April 2, 2014, in Onalaska Texas.
Hazel was born April 29, 1925, in Punxsutawney, Pa., the daughter of Austin and Catherine Hathaway Dinger.
She was a former member of the Austintown Community Church and the Idaho Road Alliance.
Her husband, Steve Salmasi DC, whom she married Dec. 1, 1943, died Dec. 27, 1995.
She is survived by a son, Dennis (Terrie) Salmasi of Onalaska, Texas; a son-in-law, Kenny Cook of Austintown; a sister, Virginia Creed of Abaleen, Texas; four grandchildren, Carrie Cene, Mark Cook, Cody Salmasi and Skyler Salmasi Zimmerman; and nine great-grandchildren.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Diane Cook; three sisters, Martha Rupp, Josephine Weston and Margaret Berringer; and a brother, Grant Dinger.
Professional arrangements are being handled by the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel.
