GIRARD There will be a funeral service at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 5, 2014, at the Rossi Brothers and Lellio Funeral Home in Boardman with Pastor Harold Wilson celebrating for Robert L. Bob Sexton, 66, who passed away Saturday, March 29, 2014.
Bob was born Aug. 24, 1947, in Girard, the son of John R. and Mary (Baltic) Sexton.
Bob proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force as an aircraft mechanic. He was retired from G.M. Lordstown. Bob loved animals especially his pet squirrel Fang, his dog, Blue, and cat, Mama Kitty. He enjoyed working on cars and his work was top notch. He was very meticulous about his automotive skills and always showed concern and love to his customers.
Bob will always be remembered by his three sisters, Sylvia Sexton of Girard, Carrie Cindy Rossi of Liberty and Mary E. Sexton of Boardman; two brothers, Kenneth (Lelo) Sexton of Texas and Eugene (Debbie) Sexton of Georgia; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Besides his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his brother, Charles Sexton; sister, Linda Achten; two brothers-in-law, Kenny Achten and Louis Rossi, Jr.; and niece, Marica Sexton.
Friends may call on Friday, April 4, from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Rossi Brothers & Lellio Funeral Home, 4442 South Avenue, in Boardman.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests that material contributions be made to the funeral home to defray expenses.

“My condolences to the family of Bob Sexton. We knew one another since High School, I just heard about his death today at 11:45 am, I was devastated! I am so sorry that I missed the calling hours. He will be very sadly missed, he was a wonderful & great man. I will miss him terribly.I am heartbroken.We had a very special friendship. So sad that he is gone now. I wish that I could have gotten a chance to say goodbye, I loved him.”
