Sympathy from A Classmate

“Rick/Ricky was a classmate of mine since our days at Kindergarten at Kirkmere. In 5th grade, he and I were finalists in the spelling bee to represent Kirkmere at the Vindy Bee. "Ricky" won. At Volney, he was a whiz at "AV" as we called it then, and a wonderful actor in the school plays. At Chaney, he was elected Class President in our Junior year, and elected to NHS in our Junior year as well. He was well liked and will be missed by the members of the Class of 1968. I moved to CA in 1971 and am sorry that Rick did not enjoy the rich and full life that his talents and potential may have afforded him. May he rest in peace and may his family take comfort in knowing he is remembered for the sweet guy he was. God Bless.”
