POLAND – A prayer service will be held Wednesday, Sept. 18, 2013, at 9:30 a.m. at Kirila Funeral Home Inc., and a Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. at Christ our Savior Parish, Holy Trinity Church for Rose M. Pancallo, 95, who died on Saturday Sept. 14, 2013, at her home.

Rose was born in Hillsville, Pa., on April 18, 1918, daughter of the late Anthony and Angeline Micco Retone.

She was a homemaker and a member of St. Nicholas Church in Struthers. She enjoyed playing bingo and was an avid baseball fan, who especially enjoyed watching the Boston Red Sox.

She is survived by her children, Edward A. (Sharyl) Pancallo of Dublin, JoAnn (Daniel) Patella of Boardman and Angela Pancallo of Poland.

Rose is also survived by three sisters, Ann Gallo and Lena Medure, both of New Castle, Pa., and Christine Lorello of Hillsville; her grandchildren, Eric (Sheila) Pancallo of Marysville, Virginia (Daniel) Kimmel of Findley, Daniel Patella of Boardman, Tina Walker of Struthers and James Patella of Boardman; and her great-grandchildren, Mila Marie Walker, Grace, Carter, Ada Pancallo and Dylan and Ethan Kimmel.

In addition to her parents, Rose was preceded in death by her husband, Patsy Pancallo, whom she married Jan. 26, 1946, and who died on Jan. 11, 2004; two sisters, Mary Argiro and Margaret Seminara; and two brothers, Anthony and John Retone.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 17, 2013, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Kirila Funeral Home Inc., 258 Poland Ave. in Struthers.

Burial will take place at Calvary Cemetery.

In place of flowers, donations can be made to MVI Hospice.

The family would like to thank the staff at MVI Hospice for the loving care of their mother.
