MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. Mr. Robert O. Johnson, 90, a native of Ohio, passed away Sunday, Oct. 6, 2013, at Grand Strand Regional Medical Center following an illness.
Mr. Johnson was born on Dec. 16, 1922, in Conneaut to Mr. Howard Johnson and Mrs. Eva Roberts Johnson.
Mr. Johnson served his country with courage and honor as an Army veteran of World War II, after which he worked and retired from Sharon Packing Company. He was of the Methodist faith, but will be most remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother.
Survivors include his son, Terry R. Johnson and wife, Nancy of Australia; daughter, Patricia Pat Hufler and husband, Tom of Myrtle Beach; two grandchildren, Jennifer Bull and husband, Chip of Myrtle Beach and Hadley Johnson of Australia; one treasured great-grandchild, Lakyn Bull of Myrtle Beach; and one brother, William Johnson and wife, Terri of Erie, Pa.
Mr. Johnson was predeceased by his parents and his beloved wife, Elizabeth Joan Kraus Johnson.
Memorial services will be announced at a later date.
