EDWARD T. LUNGHOFER

ORANGE PARK, FLA. – Edward, “Tom,” to his brothers and sisters, passed peacefully at Moosehaven Senior Living Center in Orange Park on Tuesday, May 14.

Born in Altoona, Pa. to the late Joseph P. and Ruth A. Lunghofer, Edward lived most of his life in Warren, while working at LTV/Republic Steel for over 30 years as a General Foreman.

He served in the U.S. Army and was a Korean War veteran. For many years, he belonged to the Blessed Sacrament Church and was a proud member of the Niles Moose Lodge. He was a caring husband and father who loved spending time with his family, playing cards and dancing. Ed was a true Pittsburgh Steelers fan, and an avid fisherman and golfer.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Louise Viola Lunghofer; a son, Dwight; four sisters; and two brothers.

Ed leaves here to remember him in love and prayers, son Karl; daughters Susan Lunghofer (Eric) Gersh and Marlo Lunghofer (Neil) Halliday; two brothers; eight grandchildren; and many loving brothers and sisters-in-laws, nieces and nephews.

Contributions may be made in Edward’s name to Moosehaven, 1701 Park Ave., Orange Park, FL 32073.
