YORK, PA. Dorothy L. Tross, 95, formerly of Washington, N.J., died at Providence Place in Dover, Pa., on Tuesday, March 26, 2013.
She was the wife of the late L. Bruce Tross.
Born Oct. 6, 1917, in Struthers, she was the daughter of the late George and Lottie (Hoover) Frank.
She had been a payroll supervisor for 20 years prior to her retirement in 1979 from M&M Mars of Hackettstown, N.J.
Dorothy attended Youngstown College in Ohio. She was the oldest member of St. Lukes Lutheran Church in Washington, N.J.
She is survived by two sons, Dr. Robert B. and his wife, Karen Tross of Madison, Conn. and Richard G. and his wife, Linda Tross of York; five grandchildren, Jonathan F. Tross, Robert F. Tross, Harrison F. Tross, Richard B. Tross, and Sara L. Tross; and one great-grandson, Chase E. Tross.
Dorothy is also survived by two sisters, Evelyn Tabak of Struthers and Louise Stewart of Ashtabula; and two brothers, Gil Frank of Struthers and John Frank of Poland.
She was preceded in death by a brother, William Bud Frank.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 2, 2013, at 9:30 a.m. at the Etzweiler Funeral Home, 1111 E. Market St. in York, with the Rev. Richard B. Starr officiating.
Burial will be Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. at Hollywood Memorial Park in Union, N.J., with her pastor, the Rev. Karol Van Wulfen, officiating.
Viewings will be held Monday, April 1, 2013, from 6 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday from 9 to 9:30 a.m., both at the funeral home.
