BOARDMAN Worthington C. Shomo was beloved husband of the late Rebecca (Dunbar); loving father of Sarah (Jeff) Purser of Irvine, Calif. and Pamela (Mark) Tierney of Cincinnati; and dear grandfather of Joseph and Scarlett Purser and Grace and Ella Tierney, died March 7, 2013.
He is survived by brother Elwood Shomo and nephews Jonathan and Christopher Shomo.
Born and raised in Philadelphia, he graduated from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.
Worthy spent his entire career serving the steel industry as well as breaking out on his own to become a manufacturing rep throughout the region. He was a avid sports fan, golfer and longtime member of Tippecanoe Country Club in Canfield.
A memorial service will be held at a later date in Boardman.
