Never one to sit around, she worked in machine shops for the war effort. After the war ended, they moved to Pomona in 1946 and later resided in Upland.

After retirement, they moved to Casa Volante in Rancho Cucamonga where they had many happy years together until Chuck’s death in 1984. Betty lived in the Upland area for over 55 years.

She was a member of the Upland First United Methodist Church, San Antonio Chapter – National Society Daughters of the American Revolution, Round Table Club, Upland Travelers, and was Guardian of Bethel No. 287 of The International Order of Job’s Daughters. For many years she was a homemaker, but she also worked as an independent tax preparer until retirement.

Betty is survived by three children, Helen (Robert) Sessions of Decatur, Ga., Linda (Kevin) Brown of Placentia, Calif., and Charles (Christine) Yukech of Mission Viejo, Calif.; two sisters, Helen Corletzi of Canfield and Lois Fish of Lebanon; six grandchildren, Ron, Alissa, Mary, Brent, Lauren and Kristen; two great-grandsons, Jackson and Charles; and many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by a brother-in-law, Tony Yukech.

Visitation will be held on Monday, March 11, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Stone Funeral Home in Upland, with a private interment at Riverside National Cemetery.

She was a loving wife, mother, sister, and friend who will be dearly missed.

It was her sincere wish that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Polycystic Kidney Disease (PKD) Foundation, P.O. Box 871847, Kansas City, MO 64187 or at since many family members have been afflicted with polycystic kidney disease.
