YOUNGSTOWN Services will be held on Monday at 11 a.m. at St. Luke Catholic Church in Boardman, for Henry V. Borkes, 93, who passed away Wednesday evening at Park Vista Retirement Community.
Henry was born in Slippery Rock County, Pa. on Oct. 7, 1919, a son of John and Rose Bayus Borkes. He came to this area in 1922.
Henry was a member of the Holy Apostles Parish, St. Stephen of Hungary Church. He worked as a clerk in the shipping department for 34 years at LTV.
Henry is survived by his wife, Wilma Zuti Borkes, whom he married on June 19, 1946; two sons, Ronald (Karen) of Poland and Kenneth (Judith) of Ft. Worth, Texas; a daughter, Sandra (Don) Crisp of Rowlett, Texas; and three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, John and Frank, and two sisters, Emma Borkes and Margaret Farkas.
Calling hours will be one hour prior to the service at St. Luke Catholic Church on Monday.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be given to the Beatitude House, 238 Tod Lane, Youngstown, OH 44504.
Arrangements were entrusted to the Szabo and Sons Funeral Home.
