POLAND Mary A. Pokrivnak, 93, passed away on Friday, June 14, 2013, at Masternick Memorial Health Care Center.
Mary was born on Feb. 1, 1920, in Youngstown, daughter of the late Michael and Anna Yash Repko.
She was a homemaker and a member at Our Lady of Sorrow Parish, St. Matthias Church. She was an avid bowler, a member of St. Matthias Seniors and a devoted grandmother.
She is survived by a son, John Michael (Cathy) Pokrivnak of Poland; a brother, Michael Repko of Brookfield; three sisters, Eleanor Rakocy of Boardman, Dorothy Shirilla of Youngstown and Margie Cox of New Middletown; and five grandchildren, Steve Baytos, Susan (Ed) Carosella, Andrea (Anthony) Salozzo, Jill (Dave) Harman and David Pokrivnak; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Frank Pokrivnak, whom she married July 20, 1940, and who died Oct. 20, 2001; a daughter, Geanne Cronie and her husband, Dan Cronie; a grandson, Daniel Cronie Jr.; a great-granddaughter, Emily Baytos; two brothers, Paul and Raymond Repko; two sisters, Betty Repko and Aggie Oslorp; and her beloved dog, Zoey.
Visitation will be held Monday, June 17, 2013, from 9 to 10 a.m. at St. Matthias Church.
The funeral service will be held at 10 a.m., also at St. Matthias Church.
Burial will take place at the Lake Park Cemetery.
