CANFIELD – Lex Rebecca “Becky” Cooper, 71, formerly of Columbiana, died at 3:10 a.m. Tuesday, June 11, 2013, at the Vibra Hospital of Mahoning Valley, Boardman.

Mrs. Cooper was born April 26, 1942, in Wellsville, a daughter of the late Charles S. and Margaret A. McClain Faris and had lived in Canfield the past two years, coming from Columbiana.  She was a self employed cosmetologist in Columbiana for several years. 

Mrs. Cooper was a former member of the First Christian Church of Columbiana and recently had attended the Old North Baptist Church, Canfield.

She is survived by a son, Kenneth L. (Melissa) Cooper of Canfield; a brother, Charles Rhee Faris of Guilford Lake; and seven grandchildren, Ashley Levin, Keith Cooper, Hannah Cooper, Claudia Cooper, Isabella Cooper, Syrus Cooper, and Sophia Cooper.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Jessica Rebecca Cooper and a sister, Jo-Ann Welch.

Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 15, 2013, at the Spring Hill Cemetery, Wellsville with Pastor Chris Drombetta officiating. 

Friends may call at the Warrick-Kummer-Rettig Funeral Home, Columbiana, from 4 to 7 p.m. on Friday. 

Memorial tributes may be made to either the American Cancer Society or Angels for Animals.
