NORTH LIMA Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 11, 2013, at 10 a.m. at the Holy Apostles Sts. Peter and Paul Church for Mildred F. Gesacion, 93, of Youngstown, who passed away Monday, July 8, at Hospice House.
Mildred was born March 3, 1920, the daughter of Frank And Eva Popovich Tisler.
Mildred was a homemaker, a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Church in Youngstown, the Croatian Club, M & M Club and Altar & Rosary Society. She enjoyed baking and worked many years in the catering business. She was an avid Cleveland Indians fan and the number one fan of her sons and grandsons baseball teams.
She leaves to cherish her memory, two sons, Nick (Diane) of Poland, and Bob (Carol) of North Lima. She also leaves six grandsons, Ryan, Adam, Nick, Dan, David and Kevin. She was also a proud grandmother of six great-granddaughters and seven great-grandsons.
Mildred was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Nick Sr., who passed away in 1990; and two brothers, Joseph and George Tisler.
Friends will be received today, July 10, from 5 to 8 p.m. and on Thursday, July 11, at 9:30 a.m. at the Vaschak-Kirila Funeral Home Inc., 3100 Canfield Road in Youngstown.
The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Assumption Village for the care given to Mildred for the past five years. Also, a thanks to the care provided by Hospice House.
