
YOUNGSTOWN David Lawrence Ballantyne, born July 11, 1940, in Youngstown, passed away Tuesday night, Feb. 19, after a brief illness.
David was married to the late Margaret Sullivan on June 14, 1969.
He worked at US Steel in the 1970s and 80s, then Petro Trucking Center until his retirement in 2009.
He is survived by two brothers, Paul Ballantyne of California and George (Cynthia) Ballantyne of Illinois; one sister, Margaret (Boots) Sykes of Arizona; five daughters, Diana Fisher of Youngstown, Ann Ballantyne of Florida, Joanne (Rob) Lindolph of Youngstown, Carol Yeiser of Virginia and Karen (Jim) Hicks of Illinois; seven grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret and grandson, Jason Ballantyne.
Arrangements for a cremation are being made through the All Ohio Cremation Society.
