CANFIELD – Prayers will be at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at the Fox Funeral Home, Boardman, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated by the Rev. Edward P. Noga at 10 a.m. at St Patrick Church, Youngstown, for Katherine Anne Gorman, 77, who passed away peacefully Monday afternoon with her family by her side.

Katherine was born Nov. 11, 1936, in Youngstown, a daughter of Thomas “Ty” and Gertrude Kennedy Nally.

She was a 1954 graduate of Ursuline High School. Katherine worked as an x-ray technician and went on to become a teacher’s assistant at Leonard Kirtz School.

She was a life-long member of St. Patrick’s Church and the Catholic Daughter’s of America. Katherine was a breast cancer survivor who enjoyed spending time with her children and granddaughters.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband, James F., whom she married Feb. 23, 1963; three children, J.T. (Maureen) Gorman of Boardman, Katherine (Lee) Stoneburner of Canfield, and Patrick (Meredith) Gorman of Columbiana; two brothers, Thomas (Kathy) Nally of Massillon and Daniel (Mary) Nally of Warrenton, Va.; five granddaughters, Alissa (Mark) Sahli, and Kaylee, Madison, Hannah and Megan Stonebruner; and her faithful dog, Lola.

Friends may call Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Fox Funeral Home in Boardman.

Material tributes may be made in Katherine’s memory to Ursuline High School Endowment Fund, 750 Wick Ave., Youngstown, OH  44505.

Family wishes to thank the physicians and staff at St. Elizabeth’s Main Campus ICU for their care and support during this difficult time.
