STRUTHERS Donna Elaine Ragan, 76, was born March 18, 1937, in Struthers, and passed away Friday, Dec. 13, 2013, at Maplecrest Nursing Home. She was the daughter of Ralph and Anna Timarko (Trimacco).
She graduated from Struthers High School in 1955. Donna had worked as a telephone switchboard operator for four and a half years, employed by Ohio Bell. She was a member of the Christ Our Savior Church, Holy Trinity in Struthers.
She married her beloved husband, Richard Dick Ragan,on Nov. 15, 1957, and he preceded her in death on May 5, 2009.
Donna was a kind and gentle person. She loved her family and had many holiday get togethers as she was an excellent cook and baker. She was noted for many family favorites. She enjoyed shopping and always ever-so-generously gave to her family unconditionally.
Donna adored her granddaughter, Dana Dawn, whom she and her husband, Richard, raised. They shared a special bond as close as a mother-and-daughter relationship. Dana was her caregiver to the end. Also the light of her life was her great-granddaughter, Athena.
Donna leaves a son, Richard (Monica) Ragan of Lowellville.
She leaves to cherish her wonderful memories and will be sadly missed by her granddaughter, Dana Dawn Ragan (Yiannis Skoutelis); a great-granddaughter, Athena Skoutelis; a sister, Bernice (Jerry) DiMarzio of Struthers; and nephews, Jerett DiMarzio and Robert and Daniel Winkle.
Greeting her in Heaven will be her parents; her husband; two sons, Thomas and David Ragan; a sister, Judith Trimacco; a brother, Gabriel Trimacco; and a grandson, Joseph.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
