YOUNGSTOWN Eugene R. Bud Guy, 85, passed away Monday, April 22, 2013, at ValleyCare Northside Medical Center.
Eugene, who was known to all as Bud, was born Dec. 14, 1927, in Youngstown, and was a World War II veteran.
Mr. Guy worked for Youngstown Steel Door, was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, and was a member of the AMVETS Post No. 44.
He leaves his daughters, Jane Kelley of Youngstown, Sandy Armes of Austintown, and Diane Guy (Danny) Benedis of Youngstown, with whom he made his home; grandchildren, George Guy Jr., Lisa Kelley, Chuck Armes Jr. (fiancé Michele), Angie Benedis (Thomas), Robert (Rhonda) Armes, Susan (T.J.) McCarthy, Jonathan Guy (Christina), Tera Guy, and Stacey Guy (Miguel); 12 great-grandchildren; and his longtime companion, Phyllis Marenkovic of Boardman.
Bud will be remembered by his family as a loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.
Family and friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. today, April 26, at Kinnick Funeral Home, 477 N. Meridian Road, Youngstown.
Funeral services will take place on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home, and a committal service with military honors will follow at Lake Park Cemetery in Youngstown.
