YOUNGSTOWN Paul R. Van Nostran, 94, passed away Friday, April 5, 2013, at Hospice House.
Born Sept. 15, 1918, in Youngstown, he was the son of Paul R. and Jean (Sutherland) Van Nostran. He lived his entire life in the area.
Paul retired after 43 years of service from LTV in 1980, where he worked as a foreman. He was a member of the Western Reserve United Methodist Church, Masonic Lodge No. 696, where he was a 32nd degree Mason. He was also in the Poland Golf League. He enjoyed fishing and golfing.
He is survived by his son, Richard (Karen) Van Nostran; granddaughters, Kelly (David) Karr and Sharon (David) Rhoa; four great-grandchildren, Micah, Morgan and Riley Karr, and Evan Rhoa; and three nieces.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred L. (Kyser) Van Nostran, who died on June 6, 2006; his parents; and a brother, Wilbur.
Friends will be received at the Lane Family Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel, on Sunday from 5 to 7 p.m.
Funeral Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, April 8, 2013, at the Western Reserve United Methodist Church with the Reverend Russ Adams officiating.
Burial will take place at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
